Artwork Abode brings to you some of the best award-winning creative designs of 2014.

1) London International Awards (LIA)

London International Awards (LIA) is a global competition that celebrates creativity and the power of ideas in advertising. It includes digital, branded content, design, and production.

Description of the Project:  Interestingly titled “What will you think about money when you don’t have to think about money,” this design expresses constant thoughts about money during times of lack and wanderings of the human mind when money is no longer a concern.

2) Adobe® Design Achievement Awards

The Adobe® Design Achievement Awards selects the finest designs by students that reflect the technology’s convergence with creative arts. The competition is for designs created using Adobe.

Description of the Project: The illustrator has used the concept to chiefly promote equal rights between men and women. This work touches upon the corporate “glass ceiling” where women are 0ffered less opportunities in leadership, and also advocates equal wages.

3) Dandad Awards

The D&AD Professional Awards are contest by the best designers from around the world. The award’s aim is to reward, promote and enable brilliance in all areas of creative communication.

Description of the Project: To promote the Silo Theatre 2013 season, a series of physical collages were constructed from parts of actors, animals and props. Just like theatre, the audience is left anticipating the whole story.

4) Hermes Creative Awards

Hermes Creative Awards is a global competition for creative professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of traditional materials and programs, and emerging technologies.

Description of the Project: Diet, especially sodium, plays a key role in our well-being. Since millions of Americans eat out each day, CDC (the winner’s client) sought to educate restauranteurs, and created a handbook for owners and chefs. It was awarded as it made a boring, fact-based subject like diet into a light, insightful read.

5) SIA Summit International Awards

The Summit International Awards (SIA) is a coveted global award that promotes excellence in marketing and communications. The goal of the award is to raise the awareness of companies and individuals who have the creative and marketing talent to go beyond the ordinary.

Description of the Project: Created for Hartford Funds, whose industry where fund performance can be all that matters, the design strategy was to simply remind financial advisors that smart investing is about the people behind the portfolio – their experience, insights, and expertise.

 6) CLIO Awards

The CLIO Awards is the world’s most recognized global awards competition for advertising that covers design and digital communications. CLIO’s winner selection process is known for its open and nonpolitical approach to recognizing creative excellence.

Description of the Projects: Clockwise from left – An Outdoor Advert by McCann Worldgroup to promote Penguin’s Audiobooks on William Shakespeare; A print ad campaign by Fred & Farid Shanghai, which portrays a metaphor of Porsche’s unique rear engine design; and Guinness Draught in a bottle to reach out to more Guinness fans.
